a bushel and peck ~ from guys and dolls September 11, 2007
when i was little, my dad and i would sing this to each other at my bedtime, and sometimes for no reason at all.
I love you a bushel and a peck
A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck
A hug around the neck and a barrel and a heap
A barrel and a heap and I'm talking in my sleep
About you, about you
Cause I love you a bushel and a peck
You bet your pretty neck, I do
Doodle, oodle, oodle, doodle, oodle, oodle, doodle, oodle, oodle oo
I love you a bushel and peck
A bushel and peck though you make my heart a wreck
Make my heart a wreck and you make my life a mess
Make my life a mess, yes
A mess of happiness
About you, about you
Cause I love you a bushel and a peck
You bet your pretty neck, I do
Doodle, oodle, oodle, doodle, oodle, oodle, doodle, oodle, oodle oo
I love you a bushel and peck
A bushel and peck and it beats me all to heck
Beats me all to heck and I'll never tend the farm
Never tend the farm when I wanna keep my arm
About you, about you
Cause I love you a bushel and a peck
You bet your pretty neck, I do
Doodle, oodle, oodle, doodle, oodle, oodle, doodle, oodle, oodle oo

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
FOUR. When you say, “I love you,” mean it.
FIVE. When you say, “I'm sorry,” look the person in the eye.
SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.
TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.
THIRTEEN! . When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, “Why do you want to know?”
FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
FIFTEEN. Say “bless you” when you hear someone sneeze.
SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.
EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
TWENTY- ONE. Spend some time alone.

i'm officially disillusioned.
And as far as us trying to be friends, my friends don't blow me off. My time is just as valuable as yours. I even gave you an out Saturday morning when you called to say you were going skating. When I said that we should just reschedule because you sounded busy, you should have said yeah that sounds good, not that you could still come over later. You obviously had no intention of even letting me know you weren't going to come.
I can't tell if you're just lying to yourself or if you're just too chicken shit to tell me the truth. Either way I'm disappointed… and done.

his response – can we all say ewwwwww
i resent the fact that you have called me out as a liar. maybe not as straight forward as u or i would prefer me to be but not a liar none the less. at one point i moved toward a more physical relationship with you; yet respectful. you stated your position and i have maintained it. i can understand your frustration with me but im not perfect.
human nature is pretty obvious. to be frank since im not getting it from you then im getting some where else. shame on you for giving me an out if you weren't prepared for the results no matter which way they swayed. have your days to cool off n i will take mine to brush off the liar comment. i am sorry i disappointed you
