doesn't seem to be feeling well and i'm nervous that it may be because of the tea tree oil i've been using for my scratches. well, at least it's looking a lot better so i won't have to use it anymore.
he sticks so close to me, i'm afraid he may have gotten that stuff in his system by laying on me. he had his little arm wrapped around my neck while we were sleeping this morning. i wish someone had been here to take a picture. it must have been adorable!!
on the other hand, jade seems completely fine, so i'm hoping he just has a little tummy ache that will be gone by tomorrow.

decided to scare the shit out of hemingway while he was peacefully sleeping next to me… so, he used my arm as a launch pad to rocket himself across the room. cleaning it turned into all day event. i realized that all of my first aid stuff (i.e. rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide) is out of date and that my tea tree oil is m.i.a.
it was worth it to see just how high hemingway can jump.

basically, my entire section was sat at the same time tonight. of course, my first table was extremely high maintenance. a woman at the table had celiac disease, which means she can have absolutely no gluten in anything she eats. we're a vegan restaurant, half of our entrees have either seitan and/or tamari (which contains wheat). in such cases, the server lets the person know which items they can have and what alterations we can make to suit her needs. i explained all of this to her… she was completely irritated that she was so limited and i got an earful about how we're a health-food restaurant (no we're not) and we really should be more conscious in this day and age and we need to be using wheat-free tamari. we were very accommodating, but i guess nothing would have been good enough… what a wing-bat.
this is an up-scaled vegan restaurant!!!
there's nothing even close to what we do in philadelphia or most other cities for that matter.

i had soooo much fun last night. one of ram's [math] friends is moving to CA, so a bunch of us went bowling. heh. i haven't been bowling in something like 15 years. i hated it the last time i went, but i loved it this time. i do still suck at though, but what do you expect… i can can't how many times i've been on one hand.
it was just what ram and i needed. we revelled in each others company last night.
